The Spotify Fit Score is SongScore's proprietary assessment of how well a track's audio profile aligns with Spotify's recommendation algorithm and editorial curation preferences. It is one of the four platform-specific fit scores generated for every analysis.
Spotify's algorithm rewards three primary signals: completion rate (the percentage of listeners who finish the track), save rate (how many listeners add the track to their library), and skip rate (how many listeners skip within the first 30 seconds). The Spotify Fit Score predicts how a track will perform against these metrics based on its energy curve, intro length, vocal clarity, emotional consistency, and structural predictability.
A Spotify Fit Score above 75 indicates strong potential for algorithmic placement in Release Radar and Discover Weekly. A score between 50 and 75 is average. A score below 50 suggests that structural elements of the track — typically intro length or energy curve — will suppress algorithmic performance on Spotify specifically.
